21 Travel Rule: Version 2 Released

05 Nov, 2020
Updated: 04 Sept, 2025

Refer to our Product Release Notes for the most recent 21 Travel Rule updates.

One of the driving forces behind our solution development is the desire to make compliance with the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF’s) Travel Rule as easy and streamlined as possible for virtual asset service providers (VASPs).

Our solution, 21 Travel Rule, encompasses this ideology, hence the product's improvements.

Our first version of 21 Travel Rule had full support for TRP 1 and OpenVASP 2, making it the first and only multi-protocol Travel Rule solution on the market.

Today we are releasing Version 2 of our Travel Rule Solution.

What’s New in Version 2?

See our list of improvements in bullet form:

  • Multiple OpenVASP improvement proposals (OVIPs) have been implemented, upgrading the OpenVASP protocol to version 2

  • The character constraint for LEIs has been removed

But we are not stopping here. We have further improvements pipelined for this year!
