7.4.0

Friday, May 2, 2025

21 Travel Rule version 7.4.0 comes with extended Counterparty VASP management, additional risk score provider support, TronLink Wallet integration and much more:

Extended Counterparty VASP management

VASPs can now block their counterparties based on their due diligence processes. Counterparty VASPs can now have one of the 3 following due diligence statuses:

  • New (Untrusted)
  • Trusted
  • Blocked

This enables a distinction between new untrusted VASPs and VASPs that have specifically been blocked.

When a counterparty VASP has been auto-discovered and is New (Untrusted), transactions will be received from it, pending due diligence. Only when the due diligence status is marked as Trusted, the transactions with that counterparty VASP become actionable.

Alternatively, when a counterparty VASP is marked as Blocked, no future transactions will be received from it.

Out-of-the-box integration with additional 3 risk score providers

A major update is the out-of-the-box support of 3 additional providers:

  • Crystal
  • Global Ledger
  • Merkle Science

This means these blockchain wallet risk score providers are integrated out-of-the-box in 21 Travel Rule, enabling their VASP customers to easily access risk score information when reviewing Travel Rule data.

The API continues to allow VASPs to integrate any risk score providers of their choice.

New features on AOPP Portal

A series of new features has been added to the AOPP Portal. These include:

  • AOPP now supports TronLink Wallet for ownership verification in 1 click
  • WBT and tBTC are now supported assets
  • BitBox users can now prove ownership of their chosen wallet address when making deposits to their VASP
  • AOPP now supports uncompressed public keys for Bitcoin ownership proofs
  • Better mobile styling of success screen
  • Improved error messages

Prepopulated Emails

As an addition to communicate with non-TRP VASPs, a database of prepopulated VASP Travel Rule emails are now available.

Improved Exports

Exports in the .xlsx format now have additional data such as risk provider scores as well as xPubs.

Revised naming conventions and UI

A list of UI refinements has been added. Some of them include:

  • "Expected Wallet Address" is now "Customer's Wallet Address" on the AOPP Portal form;
