21 Travel Rule: Easier TronLink Self-hosted Wallet Verification

TronLink is now supported by AOPP. 

With the latest release of our Travel Rule solution, 21 Travel Rule, AOPP has extended its support to include the self-custody wallet TronLink. 

VASPs and their customers can quickly and securely verify ownership via the AOPP Portal. This integration ensures regulatory compliance for VASPs while maintaining a secure and seamless user experience for their users

Why Support TronLink 

The self-custody wallet is secure and is a choice for many transacting on the TRON network. Due to its immense popularity, it is used in more than 200 countries and has over 10 million registered users worldwide, the demand to include support for TronLink in the AOPP Portal was clear.

By integrating TronLink into the growing list of AOPP-supported wallets, VASPs using 21 Travel Rule can promote regulated transactions with ease to any customer. 

The benefits of the AOPP Portal are twofold. Because the proofs issued using the AOPP Portal are the most robust, leveraging encrypted signatures, VASPs guarantee Travel Rule compliance, and wallet owners benefit from a simplified user experience when transacting with their VASPs.

Therefore, its inclusion was a logical upgrade for 21 Analytics’ AOPP Portal. It ensures uninterrupted transactions for TronLink wallet users while VASPs securely meet global regulatory standards.

Please note that this process can be completely automated. The steps described below are to illustrate what happens during the process for a deeper understanding.

Within the 21 Travel Rule software Self-hosted Wallets section, VASPs can generate proof links for TronLink wallet users to prove wallet ownership per the Travel Rule via the AOPP Portal.  

This link is automatically shared with the wallet owner. The wallet owner then follows a series of prompts to prove wallet ownership. Upon completion, the proof of ownership will automatically appear under the Self–hosted Wallets tab in the 21 Travel Rule Compliance Dashboard.
